Diagnostics

  • Diagnostics play a vital role in accurately identifying and diagnosing medical conditions in our patients, which is the first step in providing appropriate and effective treatment.

By performing routine blood work and urinalysis, we can detect early signs of kidney disease, diabetes, and other internal disorders. Radiology, such as x-rays and ultrasound, can help identify broken bones, tumors, respiratory disease, and other abnormalities in the body.

Diagnostics also allow us to monitor the effectiveness of treatment and make any necessary adjustments. This can help ensure that our patients receive the best care possible and have the best chance of recovery.

    • Radiology (i.e. X-rays)

    • Ultrasound

    • Blood / urine / faecal testing etc.

  • Ensure you have routine check-ups. Preventative care is the best possible care. By identifying potential health problems early on, we can take preventative measures to reduce risk and improve the overall quality of life for an animal.

  • We have the latest advanced digital radiology equipment.

With our DR sensor, we are able to have images on screen within seconds of exposure. It also has the advantage of allowing a decreased x-ray dose.

Computerised radiology images can be sent instantly for specialist evaluation if needed.

  • We perform routine abdominal ultrasound procedures in-house. For extra difficult or more specialised procedures (e.g. echocardiogram) we will call upon the services of a visiting specialist.

  • Whilst we do perform some in-house testing, the majority of our laboratory testing is sent to an specialist external reference laboratory. Most of our test results are available within a day of collection.
